What Have We Enjoyed?
We fixed the bridge, which I really enjoyed, and planted some seeds. We made a shelter near to where we have got a vegetable patch. and we made a bonfire and some hurdles.
. We dug up some baby oak trees then we planted them in Billbrook allotment. We also went to see a 600 year old tree and a 400 year old tree they are king and queen oaks.
I enjoyed it. Jamie J
What I have done for my John Muir award.
I have made a vegetable bed and a shelter at the old tree nursery.
Me and Kevin did some litter picking and helped the girls do the bonfire. All the class planted some oak trees and did some sketching of the pool. Then me and Jamie J did some hurdle making and seed collection. Kevin and I also oiled the bench and the whole class did some logging and discovery work . The best thing I have done at JMA is the shelter because I like doing team work. Jamie G

What I done for john Muir award
We have done some activities for the John Muir Award including
Seed picking where we went to the king and queen oak and we looked for the seeds that made the king and queen oak. We put the seeds into the paper bag.
We also learned how to discover an oak tree, the texture and how we can tell it is an oak tree. We looked at its leaves and looked on the ground and we found some acorns a seed of an oak tree. Steph asked us what tree is it and most of us said its an oak tree.
We went to Western Park and we dug some small oak trees out and put it into a pile we use the loppers to cut the roots off and used the spade to dig it out we pulled an oak tree with some rope. We then took the little oaks or sapling oaks to the tree nursery so they can grow. We put a guard around it so it didn’t get damaged by any living creatures.
When we were doing the bonfire most of us went and got the sticks mostly the old sticks while some others were doing litter picking. We then put the sticks onto the pile in a pyramid kind of shape and they tried to put it on fire but it was too windy and it keep on going out.
We all sat down and decided what we are going to put in the vegetable patch we put a guard around the vegetable patch so that we don’t have any damage put being unlucky we had a lot of damage to the vegetable patch. We picked some weeds out and put some different seed in.
The bridge mending was successful we all took it in turns. We flattened the chicken wire down onto the floor so people wouldn’t slip when it was wet. jamie .j and jamie .g were hammering the side rail. We cleared the leaves with a broom so it wasn’t slippery.
We have also went into the woodland and picked different leaves off the ground. We had oak leaves all different leaves fallen on the ground while we were trying to guess what tree it came from.
I have enjoyed everything

Also I have been plating oak trees at the allotment in Billbrook.
I have made a bonfire with spare wood from Norton Mere and I think the best thing we have done is making our shelters in the old tree nursery because it is real good fun. Arlon
